Information Meeting

Hello again. I know I haven´t written for a lot of time, however, I haven´t forgotten it.

These few months I have been finishing my 9th Scholar Grade (which means 3 ESO). It has been a lot of hard work, but it´s always rewarded.

Thursday 18th July. All students in the program had a meeting about "the journey of our lives". Teenagers from all over Spain came to the hotel to attend that important day.

After six hours of asking and answering, it was the time to have dinner, so I sat and began eating. I thought it wouldn´t be bad to make some friends. I breathed strongly and talked to a boy who was going to Minnesota, to.

That was something I won´t forget, cause later we met some friends more, and made a very united group. You know, as platonic love.

Next day all of us went to the American Embassy, to get the visa. Serious and respected building. None of us talking. Just silence and nerves.

At the end, we went out and talked about the experiences lived that two days. It was worth to have met them, and we promised to see soon again. So, everyone got into their car and say goodbye. Forever? I don´t think so. Hope we meet there across the Atlantic.

First Contact

June 1st 2013:

I´ve written them! I´ve heard them! I have seen them!

When I got the data, I started contact them. At first we e-mailed each other, and they seemed very kind. As they sent me some words and photos y got really glad, because I was so lucky of being hosted by them.

We talked about our routines, feelings about this new experience and the desire we had to meet.

We became friends immediately, so we decided to go one step forward: Skype. 

On Saturday afternoon we arranged to make the expected video call. I was so nervous! How would they be? Well, I can only say I´ve never met someone as friendly as them! They showed me the house and the garden, and talked me a little about my arrival.

This seems to be real, it´s not a joke: I´m leaving to Minnesota!

Habemus Family!

May 29th 2013:

Wonderful Day! I´ve just been told about my American family. I will spend ten months in the State of Minnesota.

Minnesota is located in the Midwestern of the USA, in an area Known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes".

The photos I´ve been able to watch show a beautiful and green paradise, full of parks, lakes, forests and wonders of the Nature.

As soon as I got the information I received the data of the family, the school and the place. I couldn´t believe how great was it: a friendly Host Family, with it´s father, mother, little son and... seven pets!

The school is amazing! It has an American football and athletism stadium, several soccer pitches, a swimming pool and lots of tennis courts!

I feel so lucky about this opportunity and I´ll profit it as much as possible. Because of this I decided to start this blog in english to be telling you about my experience during these months.
